October is just around the corner and that means it’s time for another family fun calendar! We’ve been soaking up the last days of warm weather here in Virginia.
Of course, the arrival of fall still gives us plenty of opportunity to enjoy the outdoors as a family. We’re thankful for that!

Free October Family Fun Calendar
As usual, this a month of activities to help you connect with your family that are easy to prep and low to no-cost. Seriously, many require very little effort on your part besides showing up.

I’ve included a few handy links in the calendar for your convenience. The calendar is also undated so you can make the activities work best in your schedule.
In October your family will have fun doing the following activities:
- jumping in leaves
- making a bird feeder
- decorating a pumpkin
- DIY face painting
- sleeping in your living room
- and lots more!
One quick note: October is fire safety month here and I included check smoke detectors on the calendar as a friendly reminder. Involve your children in the task and take some time to discuss fire safety. It’s a great way to bond and also make sure the whole family knows what to do in case of an emergency.
