Easy Family Fun Pack – Activities for the Whole Year!

I was rushing through the dollar store when the toy aisle caught my eye and slowed me down. Things had been a bit chaotic around the house lately, so maybe I could find something small and surprise my younger children. As soon as I stepped into the aisle, something caught my eye on the bottom right shelf and I knew immediately what needed to come home for the whole family.

Silly string.

Silly string would be the answer to helping my family reconnect.

Sound a bit dramatic? I guess it could but I’ve found that having fun together is the quickest way to strengthen our relationships during busy and stressful seasons. And also the easiest way to bring us back together.

Yes, we needed to have a silly string battle.

Look out. We are a fierce tribe.

The silly string cost just a few dollars and it only took five minutes before our cans were all empty, but the laughter and squeals made everyone’s day.

Spending time with your family having fun doesn’t have to be complicated or elaborate. It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. It’s about the time you spend with the ones you love and the memories you make with them.

When I feel busy and overwhelmed with life, I find that spending time with my children to build our relationships is one of the first things to get pushed aside. I don’t do it on purpose. It just seems to happen.
